  • Not sure now why we were pulled from the Edwards. May be due to the fall of Germany and we were not needed in the Atlantic Theater.
  • I was transferred to San Francisco Ca..(Treasure Island) via Troop Train, where I was assigned to the SS John Fitch . I was aboard the Fitch when the war ended with Japan.
